With all the love in the world, I wonder if our cis comrades really know what it means to “show up in any way possible” for trans people right now. Because it’s not just donating to crowdfunders, and it’s not just coming to marches.

In reality trans people trans (cross) imposed sexual barriers upheld as natural by current society routinely. Trans womens and trans mens experiences do not map onto cisgender mens and women's experiences because that crossing makes us both, differently, gender marginalised.

We’re too far into this escalation of state repression for comrades to still be reporting hate crimes to the cops ON DEMOS - it endangers all of your friends.

It’s mad that the SWP have the gall to publish anything on the Black Power movement and Asian antifascism in the 70s. At the time, they refused to meaningfully support the Bradford 12, claiming the Asian Youth Movements were reactionary Black nationalists and being similarly dismissive of UBYL!

Yesterday’s march through central London on International Women’s Day was a beautiful expression of anti-colonial feminism but fuck me the number of kids on bikes and blokes in cars screaming the vilest shit was pretty alarming, the anti-feminist backlash was organic on the streets and that’s fucked

If I see one more white queer doing the whole “this is why we still need Pride” caption with a vid that *names countries where gay marriage is illegal* I’m gonna shoot myself like look inward bitch it’s not going well here either!

USAID has been responsible for the debt-enforced opening up of markets in the global South from Mandela’s neoliberal turn in South Africa to the “green revolution” of Indian agriculture to Palestinian civil society post-Oslo. Trump is defunding it for racist reasons - still, be careful defending it.

I hope SZA is enjoying her meditation retreat but girl why are you doing promo for a Hindu supremacist just because he’s a brown man with a beard 😭

Sadhguru supported CAA, supports Modi and is part of the soft power matrix that is symbiotic with Hindutva paramillitaries and their political parties

Uncle opposite me on the train has been staring me down, presumably bc of my nails and general fag vibe, so I thought I’d roll a cig and do some direct eye contact in a show of shamelessness like “yeah and what” kinda thing except now uncle is REALLY staring, I may have misanalysed his interest 😭

One of the Aunties asked my mum what I do for work and she tried her best and came up with “he’s on the extreme left and does a lot of work with the transgender community” lmao

As a femme who sometimes wears a turban and sometimes a dupatta, the fear of renewed pogroms has seeped into the fabric of daily life in Britain for me. Now, when I see Asians engaging in transphobia, I increasingly feel pity alongside anger, because it represents a staggering misanalysis from them

While Manmohan Singh was by all accounts a man of great personal integrity, it’s deeply jarring seeing how many obituaries fail to recognise that his deregulation of the Indian economy directly enabled the consolidation of a neoliberal Hindutva fascist state. Miss me with that Sikh representation bs

Realised how tired I am this morning when I started talking about HRT’s advance on Damascus and some pals had to gently correct the acronym

Just watched Paddington 3 in the cinema (don’t ask) and while it’s certainly not an inherently reactionary movie, it is interesting that on the migratised bear’s return to his indigenous (pre/non capitalist) community…1/

Jasleen Kaur used her Turner Prize winner speech to echo the calls of those of us outside protesting Tate Britain’s complicity in artwashing the genocide in Gaza.

Last night cops in Bristol raided a squat party. Despite all attempts to negotiate with them around 100 cops in full riot gear, with a drone making announcements overhead, smashed through doors and windows, parva-spraying people at random, destroying furniture, and traumatising the residents.

When commentators talk about “the left” failing to make convincing arguments about police abolition, it’s important to remember that abolitionist politics emerge directly out of the experiences of those brutalised by the state, which are theorised and adopted by “the left”, not the other way round.

Clarification for anyone who needs it:

Transfeminism isn't just general positive affect towards trans women as a category of human being, nor is it anything that a trans woman happens to say she supports.

Was girlmoding yesterday and got chatting on the street to a Pathan delivery driver in his 50s and he just straight up asked, so politely, “were you born a woman or did you choose to become one” IN PANJABI and am still riding that high 😭

The number of influencer musicians, singers and designers I’ve had to unfollow in seeing their unbridled joy at the Ayodhya Mandir inauguration today - a testament to Hindutva state capture and fascist street violence - is fucking chilling
