My next single "The Birthing House" arrives next week. It's a weird little tune, folky, trady, singer songwritery, even a little bit metaly 🤘 It features a monochord, whistling, and the auras of West Cork and West Donegal where most of the lyrics sprung from! distrokid.com/hyperfollow/...

I'm honoured to be sharing verse in the next issue of Airmid's Journal. I found myself writing about my lost tongue, diasporic dislocation and perspective breakthroughs. In an issue bursting with Gaeilge, it was a strange gift to find freedom to express layers of myself that stretch beyond Éireann.

Feels expansive to finally have this song out in the world. Burn is my first solo single in a little under 10 years! I have a lot to say after a decade of hush, but I'm passing the mic to my 17 year old self who wrote this song before I truly get started 🎙️🐦‍🔥 youtu.be/NBoLLfZ5gBc?...

When I was about 17 I wrote a song that I knew was much bigger than the years I had to show for it. When I was 21 I walked away from music for what I thought was forever. Tonight I'm 29 and that song, Burn, will debut on RTÉ Radio 1, Folk on One at 10pm - my first single in 10 years.

I spent Samhain/ Halloween week playing An Chailleach on the streets of Kerry in a bilingual street spectacle show with singing, dancing, fire, spoken word and SFX. It's been hard to come down.. quite literally.. I didn't know what a scissor lift was until tech rehearsal.

For decades we have fought to have sanctions imposed on Israel for their apartheid and genocide but the Irish government refuses to act.

I'm visiting South Armagh and Slieve Gullion for the first time this week. I'll be up to learn some sean-nós tunes from the rich Oriel Tradition/ Traidisiún Airgíalla but would love some advice on what to see, best pint, best walking trail etc. if this reaches anyone in Ard Mhaca Theas 🌀

My stand out *cringe - get me out of here* moment of the debate was when Simon Harris said "mentally stabbed" over and over and over again 😶‍🌫️

Feeling somewhat despondent after all that.

My stand out *nay, did that actually just happen, what in the F was that!?* moment of the debate was when Micheál Martin turned around to Mary Lou McDonald and said "I'll tell you what I'll say that you won't, I'll say that I condemn KH@m a$$ and gH£zZ b0ll @H". V good self-own, bravo #RTÉUpfront

My stand out *yay thank F$&K someone is clued in* moment of the debate was when Richard Boyd Barrett called out the building of data centres in relation to climate hypocrisy. I actually jumped up off the couch and punched the air @pbp.ie #RTEUpfront
