As I near my 36th birthday, fully departed with the “maiden” self and closing in on mid-life (if I’m lucky!) has stirred up a surprising amount of grief. Sometimes it kicks me in the gut, while I also see the gifts of the years accumulating. Oil on canvas, 14 × 11 inches. Available.
