I'd consider myself a pluviophile, but with passion. A flash across a dark sky, followed by a rumble, then rain's embrace. I am beside myself like a lover's return home.

The #Ughlies started out of frustration. I was upset with my inability and unavailability to commit time toward creating, so I stole moments between responsibility by closing my eyes and drawing a squiggly line down the page. I'd make out the nose and lips and hatch out a person from there.

Why her? Why now? 38 years later. Two nights we spent together. On the third, I helped her work a golf outing. I fell behind, winded and looking down, careful with my steps. When I looked up, I was no longer with the same group. I searched but could not find her. #andtheniwokeup

It's beautiful rainy days like these that touch me to my core. Usually, they bring immense joy. Today, it brings sorrow. This is a day to miss many who have passed, with loved ones still living today. It's that part. I miss arms holding me tight so as not to fall off this cliff called life. 😔

It's time to cut the grass again. Someone took your gas can but left the beer. The last cut, I sat where we used to and kept thinking you were going to come around the corner to talk me out of mowing. Like always, I'd argue back with, "It's supposed to rain tonight." It's been raining for days now.

As a kid, I would roll my eyes when Lawrence Welk came on. We had one TV, only 3 channels, it was too late to go outside, and we watched whatever dad wanted to watch. Before dad psssed, I sat with him to watch re-runs. I appreciate it more now. It was a slower time... a happier time. #AMan📓
