You know what popular #fantasy authors don’t do enough of anymore imo? Siege warfare. Everyone was writing sieges when I was a kid, now they’re always lining everyone up on battlefields or having magic girl 1-v-1 battles. I LOVE a good fortress siege, especially with SIEGE ENGINES.

I just want everyone to know that a friend posted this on Facebook and our white Christian mutuals IMMEDIATELY with their whole chest rushed to comment, “I absolutely oppose diversity, equity, and inclusion. All of the above.”
This weekend my grandfather passed away, there are mice in my ceiling, and my disability continues to disable me, but at least my TikTok video infodumping about Arthurian legend went lowkey viral so there’s that 😅

Everyone is doing the “I met my younger self for coffee” trend but my younger (very conservative) self would probably try to pray over me and exorcise my homosexual demons while crying because I write gay books now, so I doubt it would be a pleasant encounter for either of us 😂

When I worked for a literary agency years ago, they told us, “You don’t have to tell people you rejected their submission for having LGBT characters. If a sub has that, just come up with a different reason to reject it.”
So yeah, behind the scenes, publishing often IS like that.

My wife dyed her hair rainbow again a few days after the inauguration. Just in case anyone was wondering if we were gonna tone down the queerness with everything going on.
Can’t wait for the library patrons to see her hair when her branch reopens!

There is absolutely no situation in which it is okay to use generative AI to “write” any part of your book for you. Generative AI is theft.
