The @pcrm.org has petitioned HHS and USDA to withdraw new Dietary Guidelines over unlawful influence from meat & dairy industries.

PCRM’s legal action in 1999 successfully limited industry influence for a quarter century. I’m rooting for another successful legal fight!

The new Dietary Guidelines include progress but still reflect industry influence.

They promote meat and dairy linked to chronic disease instead of clearly prioritizing plant-based nutrition.

Science should lead nutrition policy.

Proud to join another event tonight in support of Dem #janellestelson’s campaign to represent the PA 10th District in the U.S. House.

This is among the most competitive districts in the U.S. I plan to do my part to help Janelle win in 2026, and I met many others tonight who plan to do the same.

The one area where the current presidential administration is a force for progress is in promoting the phaseout of animal experimentation. Support for moving former lab animals to homes or sanctuaries is the latest step, and I'm grateful to friends at the Physicians Committee for their role in this.
The NIH announced that federal grant funds can now cover the cost of rehoming animals after experiments. Instead of being killed, animals can be adopted or sent to sanctuaries.
