Friendly Persuasion
Believe it or not, this is part of a poster for a movie about Quakers. Any guesses at the title?

Hint: Ronald Reagan gave a copy of this movie to Mikhail Gorbachev during the Cold War to symbolize the need to resolve their conflict peacefully.

Pennsylvania Hall officially opened its doors on May 14, 1838, welcoming all Philadelphians, regardless of race, sex, or status.

The “temple to free discussion” stood just four days before a mob, enraged by the politics of “race-mixing” and women and men speaking together equally, burned it down.
