Jan Barich’s (Map.ache) unique loose and airy production style blends in very well with Sonja Deffner’s (Kalme) soft and warm vocals and synthesizer melody, creating a »dancefloor-ready dream pop« (Kristoffer Cornils). This is definitely one to play during sunrise on an early summer morning.

»I Saw« is the perfect summer dub track. The remix by Andi Toma—one half of Mouse On Mars—is exploring the juxtaposition between digi dub sounds and traditional songwriting and the result is simply stunning. But please make up your own mind.

With great pleasure we’re happy to inform you that the stunning collaborational track between the acoustic dub duo Quasi Dub Development + dub maestro Lee Scratch Perry is also part of »Free/Future/Music« Mixtape Volume 1.

We’re excited to share the remix for »Suspender« by Andi Toma (Mouse on Mars). He gives the intricate synth pop/breakcore fusion of »Suspender« a similarly dubwise treatment before venturing into gqom territory, pulling it out of the leftfield and straight onto the dancefloor—peak-time use only.

Please, everybody: breath in, breath out. The next single for our upcoming »Free/Future/Music« mixtape is the fabulous collaboration between Hamburg’s finest, Cloud Management, and Colorado’s »interstellar matriarch« (Blake Gillespie) and founder of the genre »outsider music«, The Space Lady.

When Angel Bat Dawid takes the menacing drones of »Iridescent Path« as a template for a trap-inspired beat over which she lets loose on the clarinet, that serves as both the ultimate counterpoint and perfect coda to »Re:Polyism«.

Cloud Management’s remix for »Compound Eye Dialogue« is out now. The original version and »eerie track ›Compound Eye Dialogue‹ got radically transformed into a rhythmically charged mid-tempo post-krautrock epic« by Hamburg’s finest, Cloud Management. Sounds promising, right? It certainly is.

The Peaking Lights remix for »Hill Top Jaccuzi«—appearing on Modus Pitch’s upcoming remix album »Re:Polyism«—is out now.

What you can expect is a rather laid back track that calls to mind experiments from the mid-1990’s, operating on the intersection of dub, ambient and industrial music.

Datashock + Station 17 present the 3rd single off the upcoming »Free/Future/Music« compilation, featuring Dirk Dresselhaus on drums. What you can expect is a dada-infused, hypnotic and kraut-heavy track that—we can assure you—wants you to absolutely follow their lead: Tanz mit dem Salamander!

Gebrüder Teichmann’s remix for »Drive« off Modus Pitch’s forthcoming remix album »Re:Polyism« is out now. They selected the original’s album opener »Drive«, carefully adding more depth and uncanny sounds to the jazzy, drum-focused piece.

Agnese Menguzzato is working her singular magic—under her hands and by using an eight-stringed guitar, which is also a vital part of her live-sets. The multi-layered ambient soundscapes of »Lava Fans« become even larger-than-life-like than before, with the rework of the song’s original melody.

Here is another single off the »Free/Future/Music« compilation. The Kenya-based duo Odd Okoddo are collaborating with Chicago’s spiritual jazz mastermind Angel Bat Dawid, lifting »Ninuwang« into even higher spheres by adding Dawid’s signature clarinet-touch to it.

»Re:Polyism« is a track-by-track reinterpretation of Modus Pitch’s debut album »Polyism«.

Modeselektor turn the original two-minute track into a dubstep-adjacent banger with infectious synth work that is twice as long and comes with a mind-melting breakdown. Sounds exciting, doesn’t it?

The second single + video by Urban Homes is called »The Owls Are Not What They Seem« and it’s finally out now.

The track offers a rather trippy and airy approach, with a touch of modular synths thrown in that makes you feel like you’re floating through space and time.

After over eight years, Urban Homes is back with their first new music: a fresh batch of purely instrumental downtempo and dub-influenced tracks, marked by a somber and atmospheric vibe that distinctly separates this new material from their previous work. Link in bio.
