I am behind with #MendMarch as I am every year. Here is my day 10 #MendMarchSmitten I started mending these charity shop fast fashion jeans about 3 years ago, and I am smitten with the changes that repeated mends have brought about. I love how they are evolving. New knee patch tonight.

Clothes moths are rotten. Look what the blighters have done to this cashmere sweater, and trust me the rest of the garment is peppered with tiny holes. This is gonna take a while…#MendMarchRotten

#MendMarchFoot Here is a slipper worn out by a FOOT. Nearly done. I have done a load of darning, and reinforced the heel cup with patches and lots of little stitches.

Today’s #MendMarch2025 prompt is “Drop It”. I have have mending these jeans (2cd hand to begin with) for about 4 years. We’re past the point where I could drop this, I’m now in it for the long haul 😅. Another under patch applied, and another 100-odd stitches added. #MendMarchDropIt #PatchedJeans

My Big Girl gets Birthday Pancakes for the second time in her life! She was born on Shrove Tuesday, so it’s a bit special when the two days align.

A perfectly functionally, if not absolutely beautiful, mend. The pajamas will continue to serve. I wonder where the button went though? #Mended #Darning

Today for #MendMarchSwap I’ve ditched my usual evening knitting and swapped for fixing my jammies. Managed to rip off the bottom button of the jacket, and tear the nearby fabric. A quick and simple darn will do. #MendYourClothes

Today’s mend for #MendMarchDarnIt. Practicing a 2/2 twill weave darn on a beloved, and worn out top (Monsoon, around 25 years old). I learned how to do this weave in an online workshop with @larkandbower.bsky.social and yes, more practice is required :) Throughly recommend the workshop though!

Over on IG this is happening, and it’s an annual joy for me. I mend stuff all the time, for myself, my family and as work. During #MendMarch I get to see what the rest of my fellow menders get up to :) #Menders #Mending

Settling some new cashmere threads shades into their new home. All threads from Ministry of Mending. I shall admire them for a little while, and then I shall crack on with some actual work. #MendingThreads #Darning #MothDamage
