Got this book from @altcurrent.bsky.social at #AWP25 and ate it up like a meal.

THE GIRL WAKES by Carmen Lau is beautifully written. Gorgeous prose, dark edges, haunting whimsy. Feels like reading dark fairy tales or Wonderland again but subtly woven into modern settings.
