Too wet out, so playing with #GMIC filters in #Affinity again. Dunlin, Ferrybridge, original, then Samj FX Sketchbw modifie, Comicbook & Dreamy Watercolour. They lose resolution on a phone. @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social @dorsetwildlife.bsky.social #wildlife #wildlifeart #photofilters #bsky.art

One of two. I downloaded a whole pack of filters for #Canva #Affinity, and had a play with them. Some are subtle, you need to zoom in to see the effect, while others are not so subtle. @dorsetwildlife.bsky.social @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social #wildlifeart #photofilters

Lenthay 4/4. Couldn't decide which of these female Stonechat shots to keep, so I kept them all. @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social @dorsetwildlife.bsky.social

Lenthay Common 1/4. A lot of activity this morning, despite the gloom. The Skylarks were singing up high, and this Raven decided to fly right past me. @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social @dorsetwildlife.bsky.social

Throop Heath this morning, Stonechat and Crossbills - very obliging female, very high up and uncooperative males. Either way though, a very exciting life tick. @dorsetwildlife.bsky.social @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social @btoengland.bsky.social

Bullfinch and Redpoll, both high up and in 'challenging' light, and a friendly Robin, Thorncombe Woods this morning @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social @dorsetwildlife.bsky.social @nationaltrust.org.uk

Female Goshawk flypast this morning, v high up so not great photos. Disappointingly, the 1st photo was a fem Sparrowhawk - but the 2nd one was definitely a fem Goshawk, my 1st ever photo of one, and only my 2nd sighting. @dorsetwildlife.bsky.social @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social @btobirds.bsky.social

Still a decent flock of Linnets and Chaffinches at Lenthay Common, no Yellowhammers in sight this time though. There were, however, several Skylarks singing on high. @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social @dorsetwildlife.bsky.social @btobirds.bsky.social @rspbengland.bsky.social

Lovely sunny dog walk around Lenthay Common this morning, large flock of mixed finches, no Brambling or Redpoll unfortunately, but lots of Linnets and Yellowhammers, as well as a very obliging Raven @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social @dorsetwildlife.bsky.social @birdguides.bsky.social

Bit of a grey day, but I chanced it at RSPB #Lodmoor anyway, and was rewarded with hundreds of Lapwings and Golden Plovers, as well as some lovely Teal and a quite majestic Heron @rspb.bsky.social @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social @dorsetwildlife.bsky.social @birdguides.bsky.social

Spookiest sports stat ever. Non-league Macclesfield just beat FA Cup holders Crystal Palace, 117 places above them, biggest gap ever. The last time was in 1909, 117 years ago, and the non-league team that did it were Crystal Palace. Be bold, & mighty forces will come to your aid. #facup #crazyworld

Another lovely if perishingly cold @harbourbirds.bsky.social boat trip. The Goldeneye was my first outside Slimbridge, and the Great Northern Diver was my first anywhere. More photos to follow. @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social @dorsetwildlife.bsky.social

One of 'our' pair of Pied Wagtails using the bird feeder - not something you see every day. However, it is also chasing the other birds off it! @somersetwt.bsky.social @dorsetwildlife.bsky.social @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social @rspb.bsky.social

Lyde Road end of the Yeovil Country Park Riverside Walk, Marbled White and Painted Lady, first one I've seen this year. I was going to crop them, but then I decided they looked nicer in situ. @savebutterflies.bsky.social @somersetwt.bsky.social #somersetbutterflies

Cerne Abbas this morning - Marbled White, Small Heath & Six-Spot Burnet, and a nice Syrphus rebesii, common but pretty. Also saw a Duke of Burgundy, my first, and almost got a photo when one of the dogs put it up @dorsetbutterflies.bsky.social @dorsetwildlife.bsky.social

This photo says two things - 1) that's a pretty successful brood for the Blue Tits, and 2) I'm going to be buying a lot of fat balls! @somersetwt.bsky.social @dorsetwildlife.bsky.social @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social @bbcspringwatch.bsky.social
