Unfortunately I've had a message this evening telling me of more trespassing at Whitemoor Haye.
Follow the very easy guidelines at Whitemoor Haye - stick to roads only plus the odd footpath or we stop putting out news.

Brief visit to Whitemoor Haye this am and will return later.
At least 1 Slavonian Grebe, 1 Grey Plover, 4 Grey Partridge, 2 Red-crested Pochard, c1800 Lapwing, 14 Siskin and lots of wildfowl.

Once again i'm having to remind birders that all of Whitemoor Haye is footpath/ road only. There is no access in to any of the quarry, ots clearly signed. Currently there are 3 chaps that have climbed over a gaye, activating security @staffsbirdnews.bsky.social @westmidbirdclub.bsky.social

1 oystercatcher on mail lake at Whitemoor Haye gets me to 100 birds in Staffs in January. Not a massive feat but one I've never done and didn't really want to travel too far. Slavonian Greb atill present
