We were a bit spoilt for choice but we've gone with this watercolour by Samivel. We love the use of blue and how clearly it conveys both the cold and the time it takes to climb a peak.

It's tough to have your brithday this close to Christmas, and we're not quite sure what our founders were thinking when they established the AC on 22 December 168 years ago. (Though going by his look, maybe the Chair of that founding meeting, E S Kennedy, had deliveries to make on the 25th).
