Trying to play Roblox with the child. I am being hammered. Is it just me or is a joystick a thousand times better than a touch screen? Bring back joysticks with dodgy switches and broken buttons, my old man reflexes and fat fingers work much better with such things.

Today is office xmas party lunch. It's at a pub, but I don't drink. The best I can hope for is a pinball machine that isn't off balance or covered in coke. Possibly a video game machine in the corner (I hope it is Golden Tee, or Joust, dare I even dream of Track and Field?).

I remember the summer when I first got Castle Wolfenstein on the Apple ii+ I was 13 and chubby and decided that to get in shape, I would run in the back room, or skip rope, during the time it took to open chests.

I miss video games. I played video games before they were even really a thing. Even out a lot of change in original Pong back in the day.
What I wouldn’t give to hang out in an arcade, put my coin on the screen and wait my turn for two minutes of Defender.
