When a band of dogs are fighting over a big carcass, another band of dogs comes to drive them away and feast on the carcass themselves. The former band calls this "sedition"; the latter call it "reform". But true reform is this: a band of humans are called for to chase away the dogs.

Sevgi Soysal was gone 48 years ago today. She is a revolutionary writer of passion: passion for life, a better future, joy and laughter. Military banned her novel Yürümek after March 12, 1971 coup d’etat, which also made her a political prisoner. Her legacy is alive, she is our Sevgi! 💜

My edition on the history of social movements in Turkey came out yesterday which tries to cover not only different eras but also various social agents. Yet of course it still has shortfalls that must be filled with further studies. Thanks for contributors who had and could not submit their chapters✌️
