i’ll welcome the day i’m released from my duties with relief – all the cool things i could recreationally code, all the retro stuff i could play with, the nonsense projects i’ve wanted to do so badly but couldn’t. i’m just worried that ubi will be lower than a reasonable swe salary

claude 4 was a turning point for ai coding. i think big tech companies will still be hiring and doing more projects, but what will happen in small software houses and struggling startups?
i hope we’ll simply see more software being built

i’ve seen automatic resume extraction work well only once, and it was a small startup. all the tech giants pouring billions into LLMs still get it wrong, and Meta had the worst parser
