you know you’re a true nerd if you’d rather spend your whole vacation in front of a computer, but you go on holiday just for your loved ones

this one is great!
Git's hidden simplicity: what's behind every commit
Many programmers would admit this: our knowledge of Git tends to be pretty… superficial.

gpt-4o was such a fun and quirky model 🤪 it always made my day with funny remarks. see the screen, isn’t it hilarious?

gpt-5 is just a bore: serious model for serious people 😑

when you create something, you criticize yourself more than when you judge someone else’s work

when i get developed photos from the lab, they seem pretty average to me, but when i look at them again after a few months, they turn out to be great

i’ll welcome the day i’m released from my duties with relief – all the cool things i could recreationally code, all the retro stuff i could play with, the nonsense projects i’ve wanted to do so badly but couldn’t. i’m just worried that ubi will be lower than a reasonable swe salary

claude 4 was a turning point for ai coding. i think big tech companies will still be hiring and doing more projects, but what will happen in small software houses and struggling startups?

i hope we’ll simply see more software being built

corporate speak is so exaggerated. are there any companies where humility is a core value? because the constant push to oversell myself is exhausting 😌

i’ve seen automatic resume extraction work well only once, and it was a small startup. all the tech giants pouring billions into LLMs still get it wrong, and Meta had the worst parser

i guess they know you will retype your CV anyway 😆

nobody told me this, but now I know:
If you want to do cool stuff with computers, don’t become a software engineer, unless you're extremely gifted or extremely dedicated

vibe coding is cool but have you heard about vibe RE? chatgpt is so good at interpreting obfuscated ghidra garbage that i can’t even..

today's news: 'it’s clear: every second IT job lost to AI'

when you are in the industry, and you see headlines like this, you realize news can’t be trusted

now, what about things we cannot verify first-hand?

i hope the future will be good for tech workers, programmers, etc

the culture in my country i perceive as less social and more withdrawn than american

and i wonder if that’s good for autism, like, does it make it easier to fit in? or maybe it’s the opposite and the culture just reinforces it lol

his comments feel so fake, like it’s obvious he parrots whatever trump, or whoever is in power, wants to hear. it’s so fucked up to make judgements on this matter by only being driven by profit and this is something we all can agree, whether liberal, left or far-right. meta keeps hitting new lows
