There are kids on that campus who also survived the shooting at Stoneman Douglas. There are faculty on that campus who survived the last shooting at the FSU library in 2015. This is an epidemic and the solution is not more guns. We are traumatizing an entire society and it is completely unnecessary.

I am enormously grateful to the 91 Georgetown Law professors for their decision to speak directly to students in support of the rule of law, and a special thank you to Professors Buzbee, Lopez, Sloan, Feinerman, Butler, Spann, and Wishnick, all of whom I've been privileged to learn from at GULC.

Recently, the federal government has imposed significant sanctions on the law firms of Perkins Coie, Covington & Burling, Paul Weiss, and Jenner & Block seemingly because of the clients they and their lawyers represented and litigation in which their lawyers participated.
We write to reaffirm basic principles: The government should not punish lawyers and law firms for the clients they represent, absent specific findings that such representation was illegal or unethical. Punishing lawyers for their representation and advocacy violates the First Amendment and undermines the Sixth Amendment.
We thus speak as legal educators, responsible for training the next generation of lawyers, in condemning any government efforts to punish lawyers or their firms based on the identity of their clients or for their zealous lawful and ethical advocacy."

Anyone ever walked around Philadelphia and thought to themselves "why don't we buy all of these one-off parking lots, use two or three at most to put parking garages on them (mostly to avoid outrage) (& ofc w/ green roofs) and then turn the rest into parks/gardens? Bc I think about this a *lot*
