Hot take: Jeremy Strong’s performance in “Deliver Me from Nowhere” is the heart of the movie because Jon Landau is so much more interesting than Bruce Springsteen. Sticking by someone who doesn’t want to help themselves is so much harder than refusing help yourself.

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but this season of American Idol has been…really good?!? The top 7 contestants have demonstrated serious talent and—dare I say—actual musicianship. Has this show somehow moved past trite and circled back around to entertaining? Someone should study this phenomenon.

We need to talk about Texas v. Becerra: 17 U.S. states are seeking to declare Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 unconstitutional. This law prohibits discrimination against people with disabilities by programs and activities that receive federal financial assistance.
