People have had enough of endless culture wars.

While some parties seek to distract and divide, Alliance is focused on building a brighter, more united community for everyone, says @eointennyson.bsky.social

Everyone deserves to remember loved ones with dignity and respect, but never in a way that glorifies violence or deepens division.

Our motion today calls for an audit of memorials on public land and action to remove paramilitary imagery once and for all.

Alliance is calling for action to ensure that memorials in NI are lawful and respectful. It’s time to stop glorifying terrorism and acts of violence.

Let’s create spaces defined by respect, not rivalry, and show that memory in NI can become a bridge, not a barrier. -@paulaballiance.bsky.social

The Education Minister’s story keeps changing, but the facts don’t.

His egregious actions broke the rules, ignored international law and breached UK foreign policy, says @eointennyson.bsky.social

On Remembrance Sunday, we honour the bravery of those who fought for us and made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedom.

“You can engage in a thorough and robust debate while still being compassionate and considerate,” says @katenicholl.bsky.social.

We must work together, not against each other.

We can deliver an Independent Environmental Protection Agency in this mandate, but we have a short window of opportunity, and need full Executive support.

Alliance is committed to it.

Back @andrewmuirni.bsky.social and let’s deliver it.

Our motion demanding a full public inquiry into the cervical screening scandal has passed.

It's now up to the Health Minister to give the 17,000 women affected the answers they deserve.
November 3, 2025 at 5:48 PM
Alliance is bringing a motion to Stormont tomorrow demanding a full public inquiry into the cervical screening scandal.

Women's lives were put at risk, and more than two years on now, the Health Minister still owes them answers.

It's extremely concerning that our Education Minister attended a trip funded by the Israeli state, knowing the atrocities its government has inflicted on Gaza.

This is utterly shameful, and the Minister and his department have serious questions to answer.- Nick Mathison MLA

“Those with vested interest in maintaining division will never be the people to break it down and overcome it.”

@eointennyson.bsky.social on the DUP Education Minister’s failure to support integrated education.

It’s time for an independent Environmental Protection Agency. 🌱

People deserve clean water, thriving nature and beautiful landscapes.

From Europe's largest illegal dump in Mobuoy to Lough Neagh, the case for an EPA is clear, says @andrewmuirni.bsky.social

That's why @sorchaeastwood.bsky.social has launched a petition to save them.

Alliance Ministers @naomilong.bsky.social and @andrewmuirni.bsky.social are helping fund our new night buses! 🌃🚌

We have long campaigned for the introduction of late-night services, allowing people more flexibility and getting them home safely on reliable, eco-friendly public transport.

This long-awaited ceasefire is a moment of hope for both Israelis and Palestinians.

All efforts must now be focused on creating a lasting peace based on a two-state solution, so we can mark an end to the devastating violence.

Every day the cruel two-child benefit cap remains in place, children continue to suffer.

The UK Government has been in power for well over a year, and there is simply no justification for allowing this policy to persist any longer, says @SorchaEastwood.

It's time to scrap it.

Wildfires devastated the Mournes and Sperrins, destroying habitats and endangering communities.

@andrewmuirni.bsky.social promised action and has today delivered the framework we need to stamp out wildfires.

No one should ever have to choose between heating and eating.

That's why we're calling on the Communities Minister today to propose higher and more energy efficient housing standards🏠

By doing so, we can put more money in people’s pockets and make our environment cleaner.

1 in 5 women experience mental health issues either during or after pregnancy, yet NI is still without a Mother and Baby Unit, says @sianalliance.bsky.social.

NI can no longer be left behind.

Perinatal mental health care is essential, and mothers and babies must be supported.

Our motion calling on the Economy Minister to fix NI's skills gap has PASSED✅

Every young person deserves the chance to develop their skills, build a career, and have hope for a better future.

No young person or business should be held back because the system is broken.

Paramilitaries are a poison on our society.

The Secretary of State’s appointment of a “go-between” to negotiate with them risks legitimising their coercion and criminality.

It’s time they were off the backs of our community and out of the murky shadows of our politics.

While Alliance fought for more funding in talks with the UK Gov, the UUP argued for a corporation tax cut that would have left us with less.

“Doug hasn’t heard us calling for more PSNI funding, not because we haven’t, but because he hasn’t been listening,” says @eointennyson.bsky.social.

Our peatlands have massive potential in combating climate change, improving water quality and reversing biodiversity decline.

DAERA Minister @andrewmuirni.bsky.social has launched his Peatland Strategy to restore these precious habitats.
