Thirty years ago today (07/11/1995) the city of Srebrenica fell, leading to one of the most egregious acts of ethnic cleansing in modern history. I made that event a pivotal moment in my latest novel The Quiet Librarian. But before writing the book, I had no idea.

This one will be made into a movie, mark my words. It’s amazing. It’s intense and sad, and goes back and forth between the past in the Bosnian war and current U.S. where the past is coming back to haunt her. I love the characters and the plot is top notch. #TheQuietLibrarian #AllenEskens #Booksky
