Pittsburgh Water announced today that there has been a water main break on county-maintained Browns Hill Rd between Imogene Rd and Beechwood Blvd in Pittsburgh. As a result, traffic on that section of road will be reduced to one lane in each direction until the needed repair work is completed.

The Foundation of HOPE is helping incarcerated individuals stay positive with daily group activities for several housing units.

This Saturday's (1/31) SnowFest event at Boyce Park is canceled due to the extreme weather. There will be no Mini-Olympics or Cardboard Box Derby.

The Boyce Park Ski Slopes and Snow Tubing area will remain open for normal operating hours. Please check Allegheny County Parks Facebook for updates.

Due to forecasted extremely low wind chills, the Boyce Park Ski Slopes and the North & South Park Ice Rinks will be closed on Tuesday, January 27.

All pre-registered participants will automatically receive a refund back to their original payment method. Expect to see this processed within 3-5 days.

The Department of Public Works has continually had 26 salt trucks installed with plows removing snow from 357 miles of county-maintained roads since the storm began on Saturday night, and we will continue with that number of trucks at least through today and overnight.

County offices will be closed due to severe weather conditions tomorrow, Monday, January 26. That includes non-essential functions such as administrative offices.

Due to forecasted weather, the veterans' free ice time on January 25 at the South Park Ice Rink will be rescheduled to a future date.

Tomorrow (1/18) is the last day to drop off your Christmas tree to be mulched. Last year, we mulched over 4,000 trees and were able to use that mulch in projects throughout our nine county parks.
