Elsewhere captains log day 69: lights fading. Limbs growing cold. The new site is proving impossible. I'm beginning to lose hope. I fear I will be trapped in this hole for a long time. So instead I'm pivoting my focus into improving the layout of the old site in hopes for an easier transition.

i know this skeet is likely referring to actual bigots and alt-right chuds, but i think we should turn a critical eye inward towards the way some other folks here use blocklists. the public blocklist feature on this website is not a magic wand that will make this a perfect safe space (1/?)
Some genuinely terrible people whining about the "block culture" here on Bluesky is how you know the block culture is working, keep blocking those genuinely terrible people, folks, soon the only people they'll be able to bother here is each other

best thing you can do in this community is learn to do everything yourself. editing textures is extremely simple and doesn't require any blender knowledge. blender is also way simpler than you think and there are so many resources online.

For clarification: the soon will not be today 💀 I'm working on setting up a new host because it's gotten too tedious to update elsewhere. This shit is running off of CARRD bc I heavily underestimated how big it was going to be.
