Folds and creases (2005)
Although I took this image in Dec 2005 (with the others reposted below) I created the quartet as a standalone artwork in 2006. I spun each image by 90° because it was appropriate in that context.
This is as each alone should be.

When I signed off from BlueSky 2 months ago I mentioned that I was busy on Flickr - for there I feel more free to post the full range of my photography. I also did some creating in those 2 months, first for a while, a nod to my erotic self.

I might do it for all posts - I am not sure but I think it improves the flow for anybody wanting to look through, whether reading or simply scrolling the images.

On Twitter I did a chronological #retrospective of my nude photography to provide a bit of structure to my postings and to provide all important context to my nude self portraiture. It was unfinished there but I'm going to try to reproduce that thread here and maybe even finish it!

In a period of trying to lose weight, I started running on #blindcreekbeach, our local nude beach. I still walk it, and actually ran a little yesterday, but am mostly walking now. Walked 2.5 miles yesterday, with a run a fraction of that. This is my favorite image from those days.

I am not sure about that last post, perhaps it was meant to be confessional or a behind the scenes look at a ‘light box’ from a self portrait shoot. Some work, some don’t, but all are necessary for me to produce something which I have confidence in.

Uncertain times (2003)
While many artists have titles for their photos and stick with them, most of the time I cannot remember what title I may have given a photo when first published. So I look at the photo and am guided by how I feel about it now.

Went up to London today to the Tate Britain Gallery and ‘The 80s: Photographing Britain’ exhibition. I was expecting a full array of documentary photography, which I got, but not art photography including a resplendent golden painted penis and Works by Wolfgang Tillmans. 😍

My 3rd year in Brighton and this was the 1st time taking photos of the ride - and I had to participate even though I am rubbish on a bike.
So when I had the slogan “don’t make me nervous give me space” written on my back” there was a reason!
