This is a stunning edition of Jade War by Fonda Lee. Been a few months since reading Jade City, going back feels like slipping on a comfortable pair of pants. Fonda Lee's prose is beautiful to read, it's incredible the way the writing makes you empathise with all the characters.

Just got this amazing edition of When The Moon Hits Your Eye by John Scalzi from The Broken Binding, stunning! (even if the international postage to Aus is eventually going to send me broke) Look forward to reading it. 🪐📚💙 #fantasyfaction

Next world to explore:
Hyperion by Dan Simmons. Tandem read between audio and physical book. Really looking forward to this, has been on the TBR for a while (hasn't everything!) What should I be prepared for?

Finally read Fahrenheit 451, opted for the audiobook narrated by Tim Robbins. Excellent narration, worth a listen. This and 1984 are now my two favourite dystopian fiction novels. The themes, metaphors and prose created a rich and symbolic storyline.

So excited for this one. The Spiritwalker Trilogy is one of my favourites. This new book is a collection of short stories and essays set in the world beginning and during the original trilogy. This edition has some stunningly beautiful artwork in it as well.

Change of pace. Now reading Teacups, Talismans and Trysts by K Starling. A regency era fantasy along the lines of Sherlock but with dragons, magic and sassy women.

OK. Leviathan Wakes. Wow absolutely action packed! Somebody remind the authors to let the readers take a breather 😂 seriously a brilliant book though. I enjoyed the two viewpoints telling the same story from different angles though I was drawn more towards...

Next up Leviathan Wakes, I have watched the Expanse and interested to see how the book and show varies. Busy working parent life so doing audio and physical book read.

The Left Hand of Darkness. What a fascinating challenge to gender and society norms. I thoroughly enjoyed the world building and relationships, I am left wanting to go deeper into exploring the role of gender in society and politics. I would love to know more about Gethenian society. Recommend. 🪐📚💙

Not sure how I've got this far in life without reading a Le Guin book. Half way through Left Hand of Darkness and thoroughly intrigued, I find my brain wandering from the task at hand of reading to thinking about the ideas presented as I read them. 🪐📚
