I must admit I didn't anticipate the silly b.s. about taking Greenland and Panama and even Canada, or renaming the Gulf of Mexico. This is how much the right hates diversity! Now it wants everything to be called "America."

OMG, now that I've read it, the way he's coming at this is laughable. That he is reduced to nitpicking language like "center" as a verb --please. It's not inaccurate to see Trump's success as emerging from his use of language, but it's a terrible idea to define it as normal. Talk about limiting!

So where is this kind of thing being discussed? Who's responsible for it? I'm quite interested because I have been so aware of the dramatic shift in political discourse--its diction, its tone, its "normalcy"--that has come with Trump. It's a very performative brand of normalcy if you ask me.

I sure have not had any success changing their minds! I'm not even sure that a massive disaster that seems different from anything that's happened before, like Helene, is making the point to the most stubborn (or stupid) of them.

Hello, Blue Sky. I'm really bothered by Trump's horrible idea to take away Daylight Savings Time. I love long summer evenings more than anything else in life. The thought of trading those for 5 a.m. sunrises makes me sick! How about you? What's your preference?

That is so Oklahoman: pretending to be good and virtuous, focusing on "the good parts," but really just trying to hide terrible corruption and dishonesty. I'll bet Markwayne there has QUITE "a past" beyond just being a lousy plumber.
