The illegal cut of NIH indirect costs will mean at least $115M cut to University of Pittsburgh @fetterman.senate.gov @davemccormick.bsky.social. This means huge loss of middle and working class jobs and research trials for breakthrough treatments for residents of Pennsylvania, Ohio, & West Virginia
Helpful table to determine how much your University or health system is set to lose if the NIH indirect cap is suddenly lowered to 15%. For SJSU it is $374k which is on the smaller end but devastating considering our other budget issues. datawrapper.dwcdn.net/l0ZqA/8/

We just published a new paper on the regeneration of white and green ash in forests that have been invaded by EBA for 15-20 years. The good news is that white ash is still regenerating, but large trees continue to die at high rates. Full paper is available here: authors.elsevier.com/a/1kXsv1L%7E...

In Philly for #ABCT and wondering if any locals have a rec for a *vegan* Philly cheesesteak... I have heard through the grapevine it's a thing, and it seems like a meal to prioritize while I'm in town 🙃
