I suppose I should do a welcome thread… so hello followers (or the morbidly curious). I’m a photographer and music journalist by night and IT manager by day (it pays for the cameras). So I’ll post photos every now and then.
Accurate about Trump, he’s a crook. He’s a gangster and thief. But… the people supporting him? They are fascists.
The instinct to call Trump and his administration Fascist is sometimes overwhelming - but are we being counterproductive when doing so?
My growing concern is this:
If we keep relying on 20th century language, are we actually failing prepare for a very 21st century threat?

Meanwhile elsewhere I have some guy who probably wasn’t even born in 1976 telling me that punk music ended in 1978 because John Lydon created PiL and that was the end of punk. Every punk band after that was inferior and the rest of the punk bands that came out before 1978 just stopped making music 🤷♂️

Five out five now for 2026. The moon and a few stellar shots. Think that's the same nebula as yesterday, just below Orion's belt I believe. It's difficult to tell when zoomed in that far.

Wife’s grandfather flew Lancasters during the war. Had arguably the most dangerous job for anyone in a bomber, he was a Pathfinder. Finally shot down in 1944 and spent the rest of the war in Stalag Luft 1
Few years back someone FINALLY released an accurate Lanc for MS Flight Sim. Battlefield Youtube guys asked me to try and redo the dam raids for them.
Shit I learned:
1) You CANNOT see out of that cockpit
2) It is impossible to hit the Möhne within the official operational parameters of that plane
