No food, aid, or fuel have entered Gaza since March 2.

Community kitchens have closed. Children are sick, thirsty, and starving.

Now Netanyahu’s government wants to occupy Gaza and shut down the existing aid distribution system run by the UN and its humanitarian partners.

Arms embargo now.

One more reason I love love love crows.

Crows in a lab were able to distinguish shapes that exhibited right angles, parallel lines, and symmetry, suggesting that, like humans, they have a special ability to perceive geometric regularity.

This is how academia has always felt. Add that when one of us gets anything, they all yell DEI.
So they removed the black chairman of the Joint Chiefs in the middle of his 4-year tour, without cause, and they're seeking to replace him with a white **retired** Air Force three-star general who lacks the requisite experience as a service chief or combatant commander? Huh, how about that

That's cool. So we can't get the presidents tax return but that dude can have mine (and all of us)? Yea that's cool.
Musk is trying to gain access to everyone's tax returns. This is insane. He'll be able to do whatever he wants with it.

THIS!!!!!
I think all the time about what happened to Steven Salaita at UIUC and how the reason their Provost survived that and they got away with it is because STEM refused to support their colleagues in the humanities

My fellow scientists were warned this was coming. We humanists warned you. 🧪
February 11, 2025 at 12:49 PM
Agree. This is what happens when we keep ignoring the Liberal Arts in favor of only STEM....
lol if you think that Kendrick Lamar's halftime show was solely about his beef with your Drake, you lack critical thinking skills.

For those who still don't believe what this war on DEI really is about, ask yourself:
*why THEY never complain DEI at the NFL even though more than half the players are Black but only 9 head coaches are. Maybe it was never about merit. (1/4)

Kendrick Lamar's Superbowl performance is why funding arts and humanities matters. We have Kendrick because his teacher introduced him to poetry and writing.

This is great. What a good start of the day/week.
Y'all see how the Eagles just beat the Chiefs ass.

Very cutsey. Very demure. VERY DEI.

Y’all they cancelled the NSF MPS Ascend Program after encouraging underrepresented folks to only apply to it and not both the Ascend and the MSPRF. This is astronomically fucked up for many grad students and postdocs of color in math. #MathSky

I am mostly a positive person and on times like this, I focus on the things around my community that I can change and the people around me I can educate.
But this morning, there is a bit of: what if good does not always win in the long run? what if this is it?

*He* becomes president again.

Liberals: mixture of debilitating fear and outrage at everything he does.

Black women: we just gonna go to school

And TikTok university is born.

Another reason why Black women are my guiding star.
