Loved this book featuring a Korean Adoptee as a vampire hunter. And yeah, I go there in the review, comparing adoptive parents to vampires.

Thanks to Consequence for publishing "The Lucky Ones," about my mother relinquishing me to my Korean adoption agency. Consequence addresses the consequences of war & I'm gratified they recognize intercountry adoption thrives in wars & dictatorships. consequenceforum.substack.com/p/the-lucky-...

S Korea's Truth & Reconciliation Commission found my #adoption, a textbook case of relinquishment & placement, to be in violation of my human rights due to the orphan hojuk. This is huge because 1000s of Korean adoptees were permanently separated from their families of origin by the orphan hojuk. 🥚
