When you feed Chickadees often, they develop a kind of trust. This little one landed without any seed in my hand, I didn't even notice the one flying by until I looked at the photo later on.

Sous vide cooking a 3lb (1.4kg) vacuum sealed eye of round roast for 24 hours at 135°F (57°C).
Going to refrigerate once done tomorrow, and slice thin Friday for roast beef sandwiches. I tried last week and it did a great job of tenderizing a tough cut. 😊

SIL working nights, invited daughter and grandkiddo over for dinner. They showed up early as stubborn 20 month old toddler resisted a necessary afternoon nap. Dinner was a bit later than expected, but I had a toddler nap on me for an hour which was just fantastic! 😊

Going to dehydrate some apple slices for Christmas gifts. I've got a good peeler from Lee Valley, a decent mandolin slicer, and two dehydrators. I usually pre soak in a lemon juice solution with a bit of sugar before dehydrating. You don't need to peel first, but it's a personal preference. 🍎
