The problem with doing a big oil painting is that for the longest time you just have nothing to show. Sketches always feels like you're verifiably arting and now I'm just spending two days wondering what's an optimal way to paint butterflies

Used to play dinosaurs as kids and one day me & my brother were Pachycephalosaurs and crashed our skulls together, one of the most painful moments of my life. I'm just saying you should be impressed I was able to do any mechanics.

This is the Groove-billed Ani (Crotophaga sulcirostris), and it's just straight up a dinosaur.
Like, I know *all* birds are technically avian dinosaurs, but my first thought looking at this guy is: dinosaur.
