The "Nazi bar" story is an important one to share and be aware of! Click through to read the thread:
I was at a shitty crustpunk bar once getting an after-work beer. One of those shitholes where the bartenders clearly hate you. So the bartender and I were ignoring one another when someone sits next to me and he immediately says, "no. get out."

Found one of my old artworks from over a decade ago on a wallpaper reposting/aggregator website. It's made me think I should do more art. I nuked all my old art stuff in late 2015, so I'm gonna slowly build that back up again - over on ArtStation! ;) www.artstation.com/artwork/8Bz1Gx

Went down a rabbit hole on how to cite your software development projects, turned that rabbit hole into an article. The implementation of automation to manage your project's metadata and citation data is real simple, too! 😉

It's so satisfying to see something just _work_ with various systems. Article digs into some projects and tooling that I've been doing in the last 12 months, but also it's so nice to see social media embeds on CMS-style content work - all from my own project! Yay for webdev! And happy new year!🥳
So, turns out this year has been kinda busy - who would've thought?!

For a bit of a summary of what BigfootDS has been doing, dig into the article on the new website (because we have a new website that can do that now!) below: bigfootds.com/news/2024-12...
2024 Year In Review | BigfootDS
So we have been busy, apparently?

#GitHubUnwrapped is a fun unofficial thing - a bit glitchy in the stars & productivity sections, no way those should be blank. And a bit limited by which organisations approved access for this unofficial site - but it's so fun seeing the numbers do the things! 🤣 githubunwrapped.com/AlexStormwood

We are devastated to hear that the local Ubisoft developers have been impacted by recent layoffs.

They are a wonderful and talented bunch of creators. We have obtained permission to share a list of developers affected.

Really loving Bluesky; I can disable the "Discover" feed, it's easier to view chronological feeds, and there's plenty of resources for automated API usage!

It's like classic social media!

So keen to start building some CI/CD integrations, but I've got so many other things to work on first! 🤩
