Saw a video of a Palestinian child trying to pick up the scraps of flesh that were left of his mother.

ASL interpreters who work in the arts (concerts, opera, theatre, etc) deserve to be valued as artists too. it takes so much skill to be this good at capturing the FEEL of music beyond just translating the meaning of the text and it’s an invaluable accessibility service

I know this first hand. When I was a child, my entire community was branded as spies and sabateurs, justifying our internment inside barbed wire camps for years without due process, trial or charge.

Tal Mitnick: my father received the best medical care in the world but still passed from cancer. Then I learned Fatima, a 1 yr old Gaza baby, died of curable illness due to being denied access to healthcare. I realized how privileged we are despite our horrible loss. @ijvcanada.bsky.social

Einat Gerlitz: We grew up close to N Gaza. When we heard bombs, there would be sirens and we would run to shelter. One day the house shook w/bombs but no sirens wailed. I asked grandma why. Grandma said there are no sirens or shelter for bombs landing in Gaza. I wondered about ppl on other side.
