Every time I read a book that I love from the get it’s just 300 pages of me fighting with my neurodivergency that I can’t run to their DMs and fangirl all over them and ask to be friends.

I am happy to report that other authors are also ND and sometimes this works out for me.

On the 3rd day of Pride, the joke that is the SECDEF announced that the USNS Harvey Milk will be renamed. Milk not only valiantly served in the Navy, but later served in public office until he was assassinated—in a hate crime. The perpetrator was acquitted.

We’re going to keep going—with Pride.

I keep seeing people asking for Pride month book recs so just putting it on the table for anyone to pick up:

1.) I’m a femme lesbian

2.) I’m gray ace

3.) I’m neurodivergent as all get out

4.) I’m disabled as hell

5.) Pride was a riot started by a trans woman of color

Traumatic day?

Have you tried... Working in the wee hours of the night to deplete your spoon dearth even more completely?

Do not recommend.

But my books are queer so… it’s still PRIDE WORK!!! *silly string, glitter, and confetti commences while a fan clacks in the distance*

“I won’t work today” I say as I open my laptop

“I won’t work today” I say as I edit things that haunted me as I fell asleep last night

“I won’t work today” I say as I tinker with my NL for Pride month

“I didn’t work today” I will lie when I go to strip Rock Band with my friends later tonight

Anybody else trigger *themselves* when they write?

I’m over here like JFC this is so hard to read, what is WRONG with you to make you write that?!?!

I need aftercare from this scene.

*halts* “What if I’m not experienced enough with women to write this representation adequately?” -A lesbian. With a girlfriend. And a history of girlfriends. Who has written other sapphic books.

This is why I don’t like the saying “love is love:”

Today my best friend’s girlfriend admitted to wearing the perfume my bff wears because she misses her and wants to have her with her all the time.

Sapphic love just hits different, y’all.

Today was a busy admin day (a necessary evil) but I’m so excited to pick my WIP back up. I’m usually a fast-burn queen but my messy lesbians have just had an almost-kiss. AN ALMOST KISS. Who is she and what is she writing?

Ugh. I can’t wait to announce this puppy.

I’m cross-pollinating my WIP and today I said, “Rochelle, I just realized I’m writing Charlie totally autistic.” And they said, “Yeah, that sounds right.” And then I looked at my main Blake who has ADHD and I’m like… man, it’s really easy to write neurospicy characters…. when I’m spicy myself…

The first Augustinian was elected pope. Ask your neighborhood medieval or early modern historian why this is important in 2025. Hint: it has to do with the importance of learning

Day 110.

The horrors persist. But so do I.

Today I sent out edits to my authors for our upcoming Rage is my Love Language anthology. In it are 14 short stories containing sapphic romance and feminine rage.

Every single one heals pieces of me. And I hope our readers feel the same.

The election of Pope Leo 14 is not ideal. But. We are going to have a Pope who openly opposes what is arguably the most important issue happening right now: anyone perceived brown being sent to black sites and foreign prisons—a la Hitler’s concentration camps— without due process.

#Conclave has begun. Even if you’re not Catholic, this is an important global event. Please send prayers, manifestations, witchery, whatever is at your disposal to ensure we get the Papal leader we need during these traumatic times. Stay resilient and keep in community even if doesn’t go well!

Just a reminder that if you’re celebrating Cinco de Mayo and indulging in the culture and heritage of our beloved Mexican immigrants, you should be down bad for those same immigrants and demand they and others have due process at the bare minimum.

Happy AAPI Month! Pastel is my first Filipina FMC, and she’s a bubbly sweet girl. Come check out A Sanguine Solstice and see how she deals with meeting a gorgeous vampire straight (but he’s not) from her fantasies. And to all my lovely AAPI folks, I am toasting you as you have a wonderful month!

Early reviews for That One Time with the Margarita are hilarious because it seems like the common theme is the unprecedented enjoyment that people are experiencing from a sentient object story.

Because I’m just one of those people who have to make their therapist laugh every session.

Was intending to be drinking margaritas for the release of That One Time with the Margarita but alas, the chronic illness is playing with me today. Please have a margarita today in my honor—the rules state that if you are vicariously drinking neither the alcohol nor the calories count. #BookRelease

*Comes on bs to post about how That One Time with the Margarita releases in 4 days and is immediately assailed by politics, all of which plunges me into deep despair because we are in the darkest timeline* Time to go write more books as protest because they are unabashedly queer and schminky. #queer

Analyzing my profit margins is so difficult. My latest release isn’t doing as well as my debut, and I’m like, is it:
1) my marketing
2) my tropes
3) the economy
4) a secret fourth option
5) all of the above

Everything that comes after writing is a real fuckin treat. Stay strong, my fellow 🫛!

Today I’m thinking about how cute it is that from the moment Elliot meets Céline and Pastel, he sees right through their friendship, and is willing to keep putting them in situations to unlock their latent feelings. 😍 We love a supportive partner who has big compersion. A Sanguine Solstice is on KU.
