One of the things that repels me (an ordained pastor) from the American church is that when you preach something even slightly controversial (like preaching a message on mercy), there’s no end to the line of Christian’s ready to say that “politics need to stay out of church!”

One of the things that repels me (an ordained pastor) from the American church is that when you preach something even slightly controversial (like preaching a message on mercy), there’s no end to the line of Christian’s ready to say that “politics need to stay out of church!”
Either all of us are made in the image of God, or none of us are.
