What if you could consciously arrest your heart beat in the same way you can hold your breath? Together with @tetsukudoh.bsky.social and Rosalie Herbert (3rd year UG) we have identified a very rare animal model where this is exactly the case! Check out our preprint: www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...

Exciting news! We have a funded 4-year PhD studentship starting in Sept 2025. This will use the new "Multiscope" parallelised microscope to study the effect of neuroendocrine signalling on feeding behaviour. Answer fundamental bioscience questions using high throughput imaging. Please get in touch!
