What the actual fuck

Growing up in a very Jewish town, we studied the Holocaust a LOT. We had a unit on it every year for a decade. So it’s fascinating, and terrifying, to now just be watching as a fascist coup unfolds in my own country. I wonder if I’ll be visiting an elementary school in 50 years to warn them, too?

The golden ratio isn’t a magic formula for #design but it is a good way to teach designers something annoying enough to deal with that they learn to eyeball things.

Growing up in the US, censorship in other countries was a constant point of reference. Jokes about how you can’t access certain sites in China or Iran or North Korea were frequent. Yet here we are now, a country that doesn’t trust its citizens to make their own decisions on what content to consume.

I talked with BCBS & ExpressScripts for 45min, was put on hold 8 times, and redirected 3 times, only to be told the erroneous $1200 prescription charge on my account couldn’t be resolved. Our pharmacist fixed the issue in 2 minutes. Fuck healthcare corporations.

My #gaming hot take is that the same color across all cosmetics should be the same hue. I just want all of my clothes to match, please.

Every few months I get like $6 from The Noun Project for some icons I designed maybe a decade ago and it still makes me smile every time.

I made an #AI camera app with a twist: Lucida lets you see the world through the machine’s eyes. Instead of getting the picture you saw through the viewfinder, you get an AI’s interpretation of the scene. It’s like digital Impressionism.

It took several iterations but I finally managed to #3dprint a new band for my #applewatch. Printed in TPU for flexibility with a PETG peg for strength, and the use of translucent filament allows the infill pattern to show through. Been using it for a little over a week so far and it works great.

Made a #3dprinted guitar mute so I can practice any time of day. It utilizes a TPU insert that is printed flat and then bent into an arch to contact the strings. This not only improves print speed but quality as well.

Files available on my Printables page (link in bio) 🎸
