Conservatives and Liberals vote NO to Homes Ontario - the largest homebuilding program in the province’s history.
We need leaders with the strength of conviction to build homes for Canadians, even if it is hard. Support the NDP!

Landlords let prime real-estate in the downtown core of Hamilton decay into dangerous hazards in the name of speculative investment.
Not only are there 325 vacant buildings like this one falling apart in Hamilton... but we are in the middle of a national housing crisis with record homelessness.

Denver gave people experiencing homelessness $1k/month. A year later, nearly half had housing.

They also had fewer ER visits, nights spent in a hospital, and jail stays.

The report estimates that this reduction in public service use SAVED the city $589k.

Denver gave people experiencing homelessness $1,000 a month. A year later, nearly half of participants said they had housing.
Participants in Denver's basic-income program reported having more-secure housing, though results were similar in the trial and control groups.

You can't solve homelessness by charging homeless people money or imprisoning them.
It makes it HARDER to get a job, HARDER to contribute to their communities, and its FAR MORE EXPENSIVE than building adequate housing for all.

Such a great night training Hamilton ACORN members to administer Naloxone with Student Overdose Prevention & Education Network (SOPEN).
With the opioid epidemic a continuing hazard, carrying Naloxone and knowing how to use it can save lives! Get trained:

Landords are rushing to evict tenants through the renovations loophole before the bylaw protects them next year.
It gives me hope to see so many Hamilton ACORN members and supporters show up to protect renters from these exploitative practices!
