3D Printing Enthusiasts Kinda Remind Me of AI Enthusiasts
3D printing as a hobby has become more popular in recent years as the technology becomes more accessible to average people. But at the same time I'm realizing it's kinda being overhyped the same way AI is being overhyped. Frequently on social media I'll see people make short form video of 3D printed stuff and it's always the same sort of slop.

My goal is to present a nuanced take on the matter It's been a while since Nintendo announced that the Switch 2 will be taking advantage of a new method of game distribution: …

Does Dragon Ball have a physical split?
Some of you reading this will know exactly what I'm talking about. But here's some context for those who don't: In the Pokémon video game franchise, the Pokémon have stats that are used to determine their attack power and defensive capabilities. However, the attack and defense stats are split between physical and special. The attacks themselves are thus also split between these categories and actual damage dealt/received are calculated with the respective stats.

Breakdown of LEGO’s 3D printed pieces

via LEGO.com With the annoucement of the 10361 Holiday Express Train came a lot of hullabaloo surrounding the new toy train element. Notably because it would be the first commercially sold 3D printed LEGO piece to be available to the market. I know a thing or…

via LEGO.com With the annoucement of the 10361 Holiday Express Train came a lot of hullabaloo surrounding the new toy train element. Notably because it would be the first commercially sold 3D printed LEGO piece to be available to the market. I know a thing or two about 3D printing so I wanted to talk about it a little bit as well as clear up some misconceptions as well as give my thoughts on it.

“Westerner” as a slur

A while back, I had a conversation with my friend where he expressed his dislike for the term "西方人" meaning "westerner" in Chinese. For context, my friend is a caucasian American who has been living in Taiwan for the past few years and was visiting home for the holidays. At first, I was resistant to his stance. I found it odd that someone would take offense to being called a westerner.

The Gang Watches Nezha 2

Ao Run, the Dragon King of the West (Or should I say queen?) shows up in Nezha 2 and receives the Purah-from-Tears-of-the-Kingdom treatment. So I decided to draw a funny little comic of what it would be like if the pilgrimage crew went to go see the movie. For context, in…

For context, in the XYJ lore, the white dragon horse is the son of Ao Run (also known as Ao Ji or Ao Jun).

How to paste plain text with ctrl+shift+v in Microsoft PowerPoint
So a lot of modern text boxes that support formatting have two paste shortcuts, with the default ctrl+v being paste with formatting and ctrl+shift+v pasting with plaintext (no color, formatting, font matches destination rather than origin). However Microsoft Office PowerPoint is dumb and stupid (at least my version is, which is on version 2403). There isn't a shortcut for pasting plaintext.

The Hunt for LEGO Classic Space Astronauts
I've recently finally gotten around to collecting the LEGO classic Spaceman minifigures, also known as classic space astronauts. They're very iconic and endearing, something I think the LEGO Group has caught onto. Hence why in recent years they've been steadily releasing the minifigures in more color variants. But a lot of them aren't as straight forward to collect. Some of them you almost have to hunt for, since the parts that compose the minifigure have been spread throughout different methods of obtaining them.

Update 6/4/2025: I initially wrote this back in March of 2024, I have since then done way more research and will be posting an update to this subject detailing new information I've uncovered. Interestingly, as of April 2025, the Wikipedia page has also updated its page, but mostly in the grammatical and structural sense. The contents of the page are still "wrong" …
