I'm a nerd (or was) for midlist sci-fi/fantasy. But I feel disconnected - have any authors taken a pro-Palestine stance? My former fave author who writes about badass queer hijabi fighters said nothing. So disappointing. Fiction needs honesty. Any punks or loudmouths to recommend?

In 2025, stop worrying about what counts and doesn’t count and just read it all! Physical books, e-books, audiobooks, manga, comics, web novels, fiction, non-fiction, fan-fiction, all of it! Reading is reading and it’s all out there just waiting for you!

I remember saying when I first got internet connection in like Y2K or whatever 'don't write anything online, even in an email, that you wouldn't post publicly' and I stand by that paranoia to this day.
A useful reminder that Bluesky posts are public—and even if we had private accounts (which we someday will!), that won't stop people in your circles from screenshotting and reposting. Be careful, friends, if your job or life requires it!
I say that because Elon Musk’s fascists are circulating more Bluesky screenshots now.
