Lost a few tomatoes with the rain, but I’m very happy with the yellow/orange ones because the seeds came from a punnet of colourful tomatoes I’ve bought ages ago, and planted, just as an experiment. They are plum shaped and sweet.

The first radishes BUT in the meantime I also eat the leaves! They are delicious boiled and then sautéed with soy sauce and lemon juice. And I have so many!

It’s that time of the year again! Wild ginger is flowering in the Waitakere ranges. I cut the flowers by the side of the road before they go to seed. We removed them all from our property and we continue to weed what spreads from nearby properties into the forest, please help and do the same 💚

My Christmas present was a vegepod. We had so much rain recently but now I can have salads with no snails!

The story of a rose.

It was in a bouquet. When the petals fell I cut the head off and put the stem in a pot in the garden. Kind of forgot about it. I don’t know anything about growing roses, I didn’t do anything special… it took! And now I have a beautiful single stem rose. #Feelinghappy 😊
