There really isn’t a reasonable interpretation that would allow this road to be built. It’s a brazen attempt to ignore existing public lands and other law just to build a road, when another road could be built that doesn’t do so.

Despite current US government’s immoral and economically idiotic efforts to fight it, it is good news that the world is slowly transitioning towards renewable energy. We need it to be further along, and it easily could be. But at least the world is waking up. The US government will be back someday.

The Trump admin is blatantly ignoring the overwhelming science to be an international pariah & rewrite reality. No independent moral scientist considers this factually & morally defensible. It’ll be challenged in court & likely will lose. Even the first Trump admin thought this was beyond the pale.
