California is a place where people are having reasonable debates about climate policy. It’s not easy stuff, adults mostly in good faith are trying to figure it out. If only something even remotely similar was happening at the federal level.

Wonky report but real cause for optimism globally, despite Trump’s completely regressive and idiotic policies on energy.

Unfortunately, Trump has remarkably already won the title of worst president on the environment in the history of the US.
In under 200 days, Trump 2.0 has launched the most reckless assault on environmental protections in U.S. history, earning the title “Worst President for the Environment.”

The Trump admin is blatantly ignoring the overwhelming science to be an international pariah & rewrite reality. No independent moral scientist considers this factually & morally defensible. It’ll be challenged in court & likely will lose. Even the first Trump admin thought this was beyond the pale.

A real post by Trump’s Interior Department using taxpayer dollars for propaganda. It’s horrifying and hilarious. Horrifying because it’s the best evidence we live in an Idiocracy. Hilarious because it looks as if done by a fifth grader and uses a gay anthem promoting helping underprivileged men.

Today Trump is going to try to get rid of laws that prevent power plants and others from spewing toxic pollutants into the air. Does anyone except greedy polluters want this? It is immoral and illegal. These actions will be challenged in court, and any reasonable legal mind would find them invalid.

This is both stupid economically and devastating environmentally. Some people seem to just want to watch the world burn. And I suspect that the companies directly affected by it are too scared to sue despite a strong legal claim about its illegality.

7/ Bottom line: This decision favors speed over democracy and accountability. And it’s built on a myth that NEPA is the problem. It is not. It’s our best tool to make sure communities, especially those most impacted, have a say in what gets built. #NEPA #ClimateJustice

4/ The justices claimed NEPA causes delays. But there’s zero evidence. Studies show most delays come from a lack of project funding, not environmental review. In fact, many shovel-ready projects got NEPA approvals years ago but sat idle until funding from the Inflation Reduction Act kicked in. 👀
