Wow. I am ridiculous. I'm preparing for class for tonight and the playlist includes the song "MIC Drop". All this time I thought they were saying Asimov - as in the sci-fi writer - but they are really saying 'asthma cough'. Also, I call it the chicken nugget song because that's what I hear. 🙄🤦

One of my favorite things to do is take a long shower and make the water hotter and hotter until I'm bright red like a boiled lobster. Why does that feel so good and restorative? I don't know, but I love it.

Did I have fun at the safari park? Yes, I did. Did I cry seeing all the beautiful endangered animals? Also yes. Did I discover you can buy a refillable cup for beer and drink too much? Maaaaybe. Overall, it was wonderful and I would totally go again.

My other reason Anza Borrego is my favorite is Galleta Meadows. Miles of metal sculptures around Borrego Springs by Ricardo Breceda. This is a small bit of what we stopped at this visit.

Monday’s adventure - my favorite hike at my favorite park. The Palm Oasis hike at Anza Borrego Desert State Park. It was beautiful but it was so hot and I was not prepared. I bonked after - dehydrated and shaky. Made it back to our rental so now I need to eat and rest up for tomorrow.
