I started selfhosting #git around 10 hours ago. And already #openai (WHO AR NOT OPEN ABOUT ANYTHING) has started to crawl it. Taking up about 150MB of data (all text btw). My #cloudflare now uses #aibotmitigation, and I'll add robots.txt. but it's insane the speed they steal your content at.

There has been a lot of chatter today about Zelenskyy's meeting with Trump, some regarding this moment when White House correspondent Brian Glenn asked if the Ukrainian president plans to wear a suit. I want to address idea in this thread. 🧵

I've been enjoying #farmingsimulator a bit too much the last week

This post really resonated with me. My notes are all markdowns, that I try to sync over all my machines. The cherry on top is that I don't have to open another program (looking at you notion) just to edit my notes

First day working completely with my #Linux desktop — spent an hour troubleshooting why my #neovim colorscheme wasn't correct. Well apparently I hadn't installed treesitter grammars... Other than that it was noticeably more smooth, especially terminal commands

I'm fully up and running with my #Linuxdesktop. I've managed to sync my #dot files between my laptop and desktop (both using #arch btw), and I've "finalised" the terminal configs.

I'm afraid I might try #hyprland. Maybe for the future for now

I finally did it, I've moved over to use #Linux as my daily driver. I've used #arch on my laptop for the last 6 months, and I've had almost no issues. I'm sure I'll get some, but I'm super excited.

It's time for more people to leave (ad)#windows

I've been debating switching over to #Linux on my main desktop for over a year. Yesterday I ordered an external ssd and I think this might be it.

Maybe this IS the year of #linuxdesktop?

I guess I could do it... At 3 degrees my fingers were cold, bit otherwise it was okay. Still some lower back pain, but watching some episodes in the sofa, is probably great for recovery

Is it time for the first #bike ride of the year today? It's 3°C and cloduy, but I can do it. Right? Right? RIGHT?

Holy s*it, I just tried #tortoise-orm for #Python and my mind is blown away. After using #SQLAlchemy for a long time this is like night and day!

I've been working on translations tonight (for the #dawarich #homeassistant integration), and I'm now truly realising the effort it requires. The architecture behind it, the correct translations, it's amazing so many open source projects have such good translation in such a wide variety of languages

If you are using #Dawarich (which you should) there is a beta version of the dawarich-home-assistant integration (0.5.0b2). It's got a revamped system for updating, changing the device tracker into a sensor, added icons and long term statistics 🙌

#homeassistant

Generally my interests comes in waves, like #aviation, #reading, and #racebiking. But for some reason, #python has been a steady interest (and now also work) for the last 3 years 🤔
