As a staunch Democrat I must very sadly agree that Democratic leadership (cough, Schumer) has been about as effective at stopping fascism as a paper drink umbrella shields one from a typhoon. Will still vote Democrat though, as the only other viable choice is no longer hiding their tiny moustaches.

A Black man was killed by ICE (off duty) in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve. And like Renée Good, he was an American citizen. But most people have not heard about Keith Porter.

Since July, immigration agents have shot at least 8 people behind the wheel of a vehicle. In each instance, the playbook is the same: the agent claims self-defense, asserting they “feared for their life” as a vehicle was “weaponized” against them. (Includes recent events in MN and OR)

The shooting occurred during a targeted vehicle stop in which the driver allegedly tried to run over agents, a Department of Homeland Security spokesperson said.
