Thoroughly enjoying the audiobook of @alicefraser.bsky.social 's A Passion for Passion - in particular wondering how many takes it took for Alice to get through some of the book blurbs without collapsing into giggles. Enough barely suppressed laughter to make this the definitive version for sure!

62 minutes at Stewart #parkrun this morning - a nice day to be a tail walker, and a gentle reintroduction after a glute injury a month ago...

Northallerton #Parkrun this morning, about 44 minutes, but that's I think 22 for the year and 92 overall...

There was a tree here, once. Some day there may again be a tree. In the meantime, people still come, to see the gap - and the remains of the Sycamore that stood in it. Today, I was one of them. #SycamoreGap

Further afield for #parkrun this morning, Tyne Green near Hexham. Nice course, as in fairly flat! Just under 43 minutes, partly because I've not been running much recently, have to get out more regularly I think...

Bumble is aware of the saying "Let sleeping dogs lie." Bumble uses this knowledge to create mischief by sleeping so close to the door that it's nigh on impossible to get past him...

A bit of love for the small #parkrun - I did Marshall Drive Brotton this morning, and four laps of the playing field doesn't really tell the story - a surprisingly hard course. Even so, I finished 22nd out of 24, and top of my age category - I was the only one!

Just to prove I don't exclusively do parkruns... Tonight I did the More Than A Run Night Series at Ormsby Hall! I was last one home, but hey - that just means I got good value for my entry fee ..

Hartlepool #Parkrun this morning - my 20th different location and what was the nearest not done. Home in about 41 minutes.

I decided it wasn't right for me to run this morning in the heat, so instead this is my view from my Marshalling Point at Stewart #parkrun - my 35th volunteer overall.

Bumble is a firm believer in the power of manifestation. At this point, he is manifesting the existence of cheese as a bedtime snack... However, it will not prove to be effective tonight at least.

#Parkrun 17 of the year so far, at Northallerton for the first time - 143rd home in a little under 42 minutes, which I'm happy with!
June 7, 2025 at 8:56 AM
Albert #parkrun this morning, as my usual was off. 42 minutes and 463rd, but a milestone of sorts.. my 15th of the year, which is the most I've done in a year!

The image, gentle reader, is of an idiot who, if he'd gone just a tiny bit faster, would have beaten his Stewart #Parkrun PB set in December 2021, but instead ran it one second slower - 42:09 to be precise. Be gentle, he didn't know it at the time...

About 43 minutes at Stewart #Parkrun this morning, my 81st overall. Seemed very busy - I was about 360th, and there were quite a few still to finish especially with the effort to encourage people to #parkwalk - a lovely morning for it!
April 26, 2025 at 9:42 AM
Ah, the nice healthy glow of someone who's just completed Stewart #Parkrun in about 43 minutes...
April 19, 2025 at 9:46 AM
Stewart #parkrun today, about 43 minutes. The grimace is caused by the fact my knees were killing me!
April 5, 2025 at 9:30 AM
A bit of silliness for #parkrun this morning, as two ministers travelled to join another who's on the cue team for Vicar Water Parkrun. Robin was well ahead of me - still pleased to have survived Clippomanjaro in about 45:30.

Back at Stewart #parkrun this morning. Felt a better run than two weeks ago at the same venue, non stop - but 42:40 was three seconds slower. Maybe a sign to be less concerned by times!
March 15, 2025 at 11:48 AM
"Home" at Stewart #parkrun this morning, in 42:37.

No time for me at Stewart #Parkrun this morning, but my volunteering helped ensure 349 others did. Credit 34. Timekeeper is one of those roles people are sometimes reluctant to do, but the app really does make it easy!

Locke Park, the home of Redcar Parkrun, for this morning's exploits. Quite a nice little park, though three laps snaking through it in 42 minutes was slightly dizzying... #parkrun

Apparently it wasn't too muddy at the Ormsby 5k night run tonight. However, when you're wearing inadequate trail runners, just getting round without falling is enough of an achievement!
February 4, 2025 at 8:24 PM
Stayed local today, but still did some #parkrun tourism by going to Albert - about two miles away from my regular one at Stewart. 40:34, and might have been better if I hadn't gone out too fast... Ah well, next time I want a quick flat run I know where to go.

I don't normally do this, but with this carving I decided to "Paint your Dragon" - partly to cover up a break... I shall call him Herbert. Based on a design by Shawn Cipa. #woodcarver
