These projects are all fantastic...
Our student project showcase at the end of Book Lab has become quite the event! I was so pleased at the turnout today from the iSchool, Library, & beyond—the FabLab was packed

I’m going to share a few student projects in this thread, so follow or mute as you want or need

Mademoiselle Billaud after winning a cyclocross race.

It's the 100th anniversary of this photo, and it still goes harder than anything on the Internet.

After reading this thread I'm afraid (not for the first time) that I mispronounce everything.
See also: frequently surprised by how things are pronounced (often NOT the way they are in my head, it turns out)
One of the weird things about being a lifelong reader is that I’m often surprised to learn that a thing I thought was a thought I had is actually something I read.

I love this
Once a year I go to town on a bake celebrating #Toronto as part of the Toronto Society of Architects annual #Gingerbread City. This year my submission is an edible rendition of 60 Richmond Housing Co-Operative, a fun, sustainable and interesting mid-rise housing project designed by Teeple!

I don't think it's contentious to discuss how a huge number of people struggle to integrate enough movement into their daily lives and how regularly pedaling a bike leads to all sorts of physical upsides that on a large scale can have big public-health impacts.

#Coffeeneuring #7 - mostly on paths, including some I hadn't been on before. Through Carleton, across Hartwell Locks, through Experimental Farm then further west until I ran out of path. Back along some slightly different paths and had coffee at Happy Goat at Bank and Hopewell. #OttBike

Yesterday's #coffeeneuring - #6 - along the canal to OPL Main branch to pick up @helendecruz.net's Wonderstruck then to Ottawa Bike Cafe for coffee. Back via canal, Riverdale and the Alta Vista branch to pick up more books. Gloomy and cold to start but turned into a nice day. #coffeeneuring2024

Halloween coffeeneuring - #5 - a short ride in search of more candy. Of course once I got back with the candy resupply the trick-or-treaters stopped arriving. And I had to have iced tea because all the coffee was gone. A nice ride though. #coffeeneuring2024

Coffeeneuring #2 today. To @octopusbooks.ca to pick up a book I'd ordered (Politics recoded / @aschrock.bsky.social) then to Bridgehead for coffee. Home via Bronson, Brewer Park, the new bike/pedestrian bridge at Carleton, Hog's Back and Brookfield. #coffeenuering #OttBike

Coffeeneuring backlog. Coffeeneuring #1 was last Sunday. Up the Sawmill Creek path to check out the new bike crossing over Hunt Club and the path alongside the LRT south route. The path is rideable but not really finished. Then back to the South Keys Starbucks for coffee. #coffeenuering #OttBike

Amazing 2011 linocut by Torres Strait Islander Alick Tipoti in the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney. Absolutely extraordinary technical accomplishment, probably the largest single-block linocut print in the world.
