Nerd talk: The new laptop upgrade is heavenly. Cost a pretty penny but thing is three generations advanced from my previous.
165hz in motion is MENTAL. Never thought that sort of refresh bump would look like *that*. Windows 11 actually good as well 😲 Dolby Atmos that presents well 🤤

The Substance
Pretty immense stuff, really.
A throwback to 'plastic reality' 80's stuff but also has a fairly on the nose message, which isn't a problem. You can be very obvious with a message in a film but still contain depth in how you do it.
Watch 'Revenge'. Same director.

If folk want a decent watch then I recommend Cuckoo.
It ranks up there with the best of "Just a *tiny* bit more exposition, please, then you would be great" fare, but it is actually pretty good.

Strange Darling is thus far my favourite film of this year, and maybe some others.
It is a truly uncomfortable watch in places, but if you like Tarantino and Coen Brothers stuff it is a must watch.
