Bilden visar en kund i en iriskspråkig boklåda som undrar om det finns en engelsk översättning av "Finnegans Wake".

Citatet är hämtat från min bok "Erin och Lochlann. Poetiska speglingar av Irlands vikingatid" (Faethon 2024).

Min bok uppmärksammas i tidningen Vi. Det är första omnämnandet i media, endast på grund av den otillgängliga titeln!

Min bok "Erin och Lochlann" har kommit från tryckeriet och finns nu hos förlaget. Jag har inte sett den än, men en låda är på väg hit. På Bokus och Adlibris stär det "Ännu ej utkommen" men den kommer snart. Priset är överkomligt med tanke på att det är 616 sidor.

The world's first wool insulation made from Swedish sheep farmers. They called it Fårtex (=Sheeptex) because it rhymes with Goretex. In Swedish at least. English speakers probably have a different pronunciation.

The central letters in the Swedish present participle "ätande" (eating) happen to make up the word "tand" (tooth), which is quite remarkable when you know that "ätande" and "tand" are both present participles of the Indo-European verb for "eat", albeit formed at very different times in history.
