Serving as an intern at Dianne Feinstein’s LA office for three summers in the early 2000s had an incredible impact on me. While we only got to see her once in a while, she inspired remarkable people and assembled a wonderful team—I learned a great deal from them.

Went birdwatching this morning and now I’m struggling to identify this bird. eBird says it’s an orange-crowned warbler but I’m trying to convince myself it isn’t just a palm warbler. (Photo taken at Green-wood Cemetery, Brooklyn today.) Birders, please weigh in!
